Organizing a Program or Workshop at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics
The Simons Center for Geometry and Physics is a research center devoted to furthering fundamental knowledge in mathematics and theoretical physics. Each year the SCGP supports multiple scientific programs and workshops focused on activities of common interest to mathematicians and physicists in addition to a host of research seminars, colloquia, and lecture series geared toward faculty and advanced graduate students.

Visiting the Center
The Simons Center encourages and supports a few general visits (i.e. those outside participation in a program or workshop) each year. Successful applicants for a general visit are those whose scientific interests and recent work are compatible with the goals of the Center and indicate that their presence at the Center will enrich both the Center and the visitor.

Proposing an exhibition for the Simons Center Gallery
The Simons Center’s Art Program is dedicated to enriching the intellectual lives of its members and visitors, and to establishing the Center as a venue for world-class science-inspired artistic exhibitions, music, lectures, and events of interest. It is an evolving and dynamic program benefiting the entire Stony Brook University campus and local/regional community at large. The Art Program’s goals include hosting the highest quality and intellectually inquisitive art by internationally acclaimed artists working at the intersection of art, science, and technology. The exhibitions and events at the Center feature artistic and scientific concepts accessible through a broad range of media for meaningful experiences that ignite imagination and inspire ideas.
The Exhibition Proposals page is currently under review and will be forthcoming Spring 2018.
Proposing a speaker for the Della Pietra Lecture Series
The Della Pietra Lecture Series aims to bring world-renowned scientists to the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics to enhance the intellectual activity of the Center and also bring greater awareness of recent and impactful discoveries in Physics and Mathematics to the Long Island community, in particular to high school, undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in the sciences.
