Title: Fukaya Categories of Stein Manifolds

Abstract:
I will begin by reviewing Fukaya categories, and give a brief overview of the methods that we have for computing them. I will then focus on the use of Lefschetz fibrations as a method to compute Fukaya categories of Stein manifolds, and present joint work with Seidel that essentially gives an inductive formula for these categories. The formula is motivated by an extension of Kontsevich’s homological mirror symmetry conjecture. If time permits, I will discuss some categorical consequences of these results.
