Abstract: D-bar problem has been so far not successful for the asymptotic analysis of the orthogonal polynomials on the plane. Asymptotic analysis through Riemann-Hilbert problem is however possible when the measure is simple (e.g. containing a single logarithmic singularity). I describe one such case and some further directions. This is a joint work with Ferenc Balogh, Marco Bertola and Kenneth McLaughlin.
