Abstract: In this talk I’ll review some of the progress of the last few years in quantifying the degree of quantum entanglement in the ground states of many-body systems. I’ll show how this can be computed in terms of path integrals in multiply-connected domains, and how in 1+1 dimensions these are related to universal quantities like the central charge.
Then I’ll discuss some more recent results, on entanglement negativity for mixed states, and corrections to the area law in higher dimensions.
