Abstract: Over the last decade, there has been enormous progress in understanding the structure of scattering amplitudes in gauge theories. It is less known that some significant progress has been also accomplished in supergravity and in full-fledged superstring theory. I will describe some recent developments that reveal an unexpected connection between supergravity and superstring amplitudes, suggesting a new type of superstring/supergravity correspondence.
