Abstract: In this talk I will present a classification of closed smooth 2-connected 7-manifolds. The classification builds on work of Wall and Wilkens, and uses knowledge about co-bounding 8-manifolds. The complete classification is a delicate problem and was only fully solved earlier this year in joint work with Johannes Nordström.
