The Simons Center for Geometry and Physics provides a variety of housing options for our invited guests.

Please note: The Center has negotiated rates with the hotels below; visitors who reserve a hotel room on their own will not be able to take advantage of these rates. We ask that you work with the SCGP Housing Coordinator to ensure the best possible rate.
We can provide visitors with local resources to obtain housing where pets are permitted, if need be.
Our professional cleaning service maintains our properties weekly, and the Center provides all linens and towels, as well as basic toiletries. Each property has a fully stocked kitchen with cooking equipment and utensils, as well as a washer and dryer, should you need to do laundry during your stay. If you will be traveling by car, you may park in the driveway / garage of your assigned house.
S (SCGP Shared Housing)
Guests who stay in SCGP Shared Housing are provided with a single bedroom and in most cases, a private bathroom. The kitchen and living areas are shared among other program visitors in the house.
A (Apartments)
The SCGP offers both private apartments and two bedroom, two bathroom apartments (shared).
HD (Hotel – Danfords)
Danfords is located in the heart of historic Port Jefferson, overlooking the marina. The hotel houses their restaurant, Ferryman’s Grille, is close to public transportation, restaurants, and a variety of shops. If you are driving, the hotel is 10 minutes from campus. ** Please note: Daily shuttles will be provided for workshop participants who are housed at Danfords.
HH (Hotel – Hilton)
The Hilton Garden Inn Stony Brook is located on the Stony Brook University campus and is within walking distance of the Simons Center. If you are driving, the hotel provides free parking to guests.
