It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Professor Tohru Eguhi, Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics Kyoto University. A towering figure in Japanese theoretical physics, he had a lasting and varied impact on the field, and recently wrote a deep and influential contribution on the theory of moonshine phenomena.
