During the Spring 2014 semester, Dusa McDuff will host a minicourse on Kuranishi Atlases, Thursdays at 11:45am in the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics Seminar Room, 313. These seminars are associated with the Spring 2014 program, Moduli Spaces of Pseudo-holomorphic curves and their applications to Symplectic Topology.
Schedule, notes and videos can be accessed below:

Tuesday 2/25 at 2:30pm | Kuranishi Atlases | Dusa McDuff | Abstract: I will explain how to construct a stratified smooth local Kuranishi chart near a genus zero nodal stable map, and the smoothness qualities of the associated isotropy group actions and coordinate changes. This talk will be largely independent of my previous talks on Kuranishi atlases. |

Thursday April 3 at 11:45am | Kuranishi Atlases: The role of additivity | Dusa McDuff | Abstract: I will explain topological aspects of the construction, emphasizing the role of additivity in the taming construction and the construction of cobordisms. I hope also to discuss product atlases (which are not additive). I will try to make the talk reasonably selfcontained.Video |
