Confinement and QCD Strings: November 10 – 12, 2025

Organized by Igor Klebanov, Zohar Komargodski, Raju Venugopalan

The workshop will cover a range of topics related to confining gauge theories, and non-perturbative QFT more broadly. Topics will include aspects of lattice gauge theory models, corrections to the Nambu-Goto action and the S-matrix bootstrap for confining strings, generalized symmetries on the lattice and in the continuum, and search for integrable 2D gauge theories. More phenomenological topics in hadronic physics will also be highlighted, including the physics of confining string junctions, shock wave collisions in QCD, energy correlators at colliders, 3-D distributions of partons, and phase diagrams at finite temperature and density. The workshop will also include aspects of quantum information science and quantum computing. This workshop is a satellite workshop of the Simons Collaboration on Confinement and QCD Strings; it will be followed by the Collaboration Annual Meeting in New York City on November 13-14, 2025.
