Abstract: In the spring of next year, there will be a program and two workshops at the Simons Center devoted to recent developments in hydrodynamics. A significant fraction of these developments involve the hydrodynamic description of quantum field theories with anomalies. In this talk I will give a pedagogical introduction to both anomalies and the modern formulation of relativistic hydrodynamics. My primary goal is to set up some of the major questions that will (hopefully!) be addressed in the Spring’s activities.
