The Della Pietra High School Applied Math Program is for high school students. It is an exciting way for students and professors to come together to learn mathematics, explore new topics, interact with other students who share their interest in mathematics, and have fun.

Ashley Schiff Preserve Nature Walks
The Friends of the Ashley Schiff Park Preserve invite everyone to attend weekly guided nature walks (aka “Bramble Rambles”) this semester, to be held every Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. The walks last approximately one hour, and start at the trailhead next to the wooden kiosk and boulder along Circle Road, across from the end of Lake Dr.

Della Pietra High School Applied Math Program
A program aimed at high school students where they will learn some “real world” applications of mathematics. Some of the topics to be covered during a typical semester include game theory, optimization, the mathematics of puzzles and games, computer modeling, and an introduction to the mathematics of finance.

2017 Science Playwriting Competition – Deadline for Submission, April 1, 2017
Calling all talented playwrights with an interest in the sciences, and talented scientists with an interest in the theatre to compose a ten-minute play with a substantial science component. This contest is open to the general public:
First Prize Winner: $500
Second Prize Winner: $200
3rd Prize Winner: $100
