2024 Tuesday Concerts

The Art and Outreach Program at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics at Stony Brook University is pleased to present a new music series free and open to the public:

Tuesday July 9
Jazz Loft Originals: Sextet to perform all original compositions. Slated artists to include: Tom Manuel; world-renowned Ray Anderson, trombone; John Marshall, tenor sax; Steve Salerno, guitar; Dan Pugach, drums; Dean Johnson, bass.
5:00 – 6:00 pm: Concert in the Della Pietra Family Auditorium, room 103

Tuesday July 16
Performance by Ramtin Mohasselyazdi (composer and pianist); Eric Ness (cellist and composer); Evanglea Andreadis (violist); Athena Wilkinson (violinist); and Sophie May Bowden (violinist)
5:00 – 6:00 pm: Concert in the Della Pietra Family Auditorium, room 103

Tuesday July 30

Jazz Loft Legends: All-Star group of Jazz legends including: Steve Little, drums (Duke Ellington); Warren Vache, cornet (Benny Goodman, Rosemary Clooney, etc.); Houston Person, tenor sax (Etta Jones); Larry Fuller, piano; Bill Crow, bass (Stan Getz, Gerry Mulligan, etc.); and Tom Manuel (star in training!)
