Simons Center Postdoctoral Scholars Selected to Speak at Strings 2026

The Simons Center for Geometry and Physics (SCGP) is pleased to share that four researchers with strong ties to the Center have been selected as speakers at Strings 2026, the premier annual conference in string theory.

Current SCGP postdoctoral fellows Jacob McNamara and Fedor Popov will present their work at the meeting, alongside former SCGP postdoctoral fellow Mykola Dedushenko and former Stony Brook University Assistant Professor, Yin-Chen He, who recently joined the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics.

Held annually, the Strings conference is widely regarded as a leading international forum for advances in string theory and quantum gravity, bringing together researchers from across the field. The 2026 conference will take place at Fudan University in Shanghai and will feature invited talks spanning a broad range of topics in theoretical physics.

Selection to speak at Strings is highly competitive and represents recognition by the global theoretical physics community. Invitations are extended to researchers whose work is shaping the direction of the field.

It is also notable that all of the invited speakers at Strings 2026 have previously visited the SCGP, reflecting the Center’s ongoing engagement with the broader string theory community.

The participation of McNamara, Popov, Dedushenko, and He is a wonderful recognition of their work, and we look forward to their contributions at this year’s conference.
