Graduate Summer School on the Mathematics and Physics of Hitchin Systems: May 27 – 31, 2019

Shuttle scheduleScheduleAttendee ListView Videos

Organized by Lara Anderson and Laura Schaposnik
co-organizers: Sheldon Katz and Joerg Teschner.

The school is aimed at graduate students and young postdocs, and will expose participants to some current research topics on the geometry and physics of Higgs bundles. The workshop will have several mini-courses by experts on topics close to their own research, including a mix of lectures and problem sessions, which will take place during the mornings. During the afternoons, there will be advanced research talks by experts in the field, exposing young participants to the most current questions in the area.

There will be four mini-courses given by Jonathan Heckman, Richard Wentworth, Sara Maloni, and Sergei Gukov.

The preceding weekend workshop is Current trends on spectral data for Higgs bundles V

This workshop is associated with the program Geometry and Physics of Hitchin Systems: January 22 – June 21, 2019
