The Simons Center for Geometry and Physics offers the opportunity for external departments to utilize our off-campus housing for short-term use. Our housing is best suited for faculty/staff/visitors who need affordable accommodations in close proximity to the University for up to a few weeks at a time – please note that we are unable to provide longer-term housing.
We have private apartments in the downtown Port Jefferson area and shared houses in East Setauket and Stony Brook. All housing options are fully furnished and stocked with basic supplies. In addition, each house and apartment is equipped with free WiFi and a washer/dryer and all properties have driveways. Our competitive rates include cleaning services as well.
Our Port Jefferson apartments are located on Main Street and 25-A, just steps away from the marina and all of the shops and restaurants the town has to offer. They are also conveniently located within a 5-minute walk to the Suffolk County bus stop, which can be taken to/from the University.
Our Stony Brook and East Setauket homes are situated in more private, residential areas of town, but are also accessible by the county bus or a quick Uber ride!
